photos continued.. still on Day 2.. hehs..


the hungry vultures upon reaching 淡水.. went into this yoshinoyo-like shop that sells rice & noodle sets.. we all ordered diff sets to eat.. complete with a drink & side dish..the bamboo shoots were nice!

i had beef noodles & they put all the green stuff dat i dun like so was busy trying to remove all.. steff had curry rice & i can't rem what the 2 guys ate.. hehe..

but we were wondering why the made the ladle so heavy! it was like solid ceramic soup spoon which was really quite big & heavy.. my thumb got cramped after i held it for too long.. wat a tiring meal..

took a bus to the 渔人码头.. and it was still raining.. stopped raining for awhile when we first reached the mrt but started raining heavily again on our way to the 'Fisherman's Wharf'.. urgh..


spent our time indoors, walking ard the mini seafood market & then kept ourselves busy with 抓抓乐 again.. hahaa.. that's the kinda stuff-toy catching machines that's sooo hot in taipei.. we got addicted too.....

juz reliving some of my childhood days..


we could only take pictures frm indoors.. and sat ourselves at the cafe upstairs.. ordered a round of nice cakes again (the choc heart-shaped one was spoilt though.. super sour already.. Ewww)

and THEN......


we took out a pack of cards and started the first of our other addiction during the trip(besides 'zhua zhua le').. DAIDEE!

played for a few hrs and rain didn't stop so we gave up eventually cos no way we wld be able to see the beautiful sunset.. SUPER SAD can..

took a grp pic before we left the place.. to prove we were at least THERE..

also met a grp of 3 singaporean guys (forgot their names liao, oops!) on a ard-taiwan backpacking trip.. and so we all made frens.. proceeded to take the bus to 红树林 mrt station & to Jiantan where we went 士林夜市 for our dinner~！ *drools*

the very "湿" ShihLin night market.. these are 2 of the guys we met..


asked ken to help me hold umbrella while i was taking photos cos it was drizzling.. and he wasn't doing his job, i had to hold tup the brolly myself cos he was busy smiling at Joe's camera..

joe took a pic when we got attracted into another 抓抓乐 shop.. haha..

豪大大鸡排！！ and the 大香肠!! both super yummy~.. and the fried chicken steak was so huge & cheap ! like 35NT i think.. sausage was expensive though.. but very good! see how happy steff looked after biting into the 鸡排.. and one of the guys was brave enuff to try the 麻辣臭豆腐..

it was steamed one not fried one lor! 超臭!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


okays will continue tmr.. sleepy liao.. nitenites.. counting down to 6th July~ we go eat good food!


P/s: sorry chris, got piece of bad news.. i din manage to ballot for the additional invitation card so u may have to sit in the viewing rm with ken to watch the live broadcast of the ceremony.. really sorry.. hope u dun mind ya.. i only have an invitation for 2 (parents).. but hope still got small chance of having empty seats last min & u can go in!

and ya u'll have the company of ken, joe & jack at the chalet during the day.. and the 2 of us will join once we knock off work!

the feeling of being part of those 8.30-6pm working ppl finally sank in on one fine evening when i was on the mrt home & staring at fellow workers.. and im in the new stage of my life already..

not that i don't like what im doing now cos im actually quite happy that i've a nice working environment, with good bosses and really warm & helpful colleagues.. a big-family kinda feeling when i work.. though the work is kinda challenging in terms of testing of my hardiness & resilience against "unfriendly elements"..

but i was actually quite sad abt it for awhile cos all of a sudden i miss so many things abt the school life..

i miss being a student..

miss wearing uniforms(missed that right after JC days).. not having to think abt what to wear to sch everyday..

miss having school holidays..

all my free periods..

and in varsity, all my free days..

not having to wake up at 6.15am every day of the week plus one in every 3 saturdays..

i actually miss attending lectures and copying notes.. haha..

i miss catching up with steff & glads almost every day.. cos we usually try to take the same geog modules & so share similar timetables..

i miss jc days with Ao2 when we always eat together in the canteen as a class.. and hanging out with the 'Fantastic 4' each time the band had a break during pracs..

i miss copying homework & physics TYS with 3/4 of my upper sec class.. hahaha.. and having so many ppl getting punished together with you as well..

i miss the days we hung out at JEC till 10pm almost everyday.. at Pandan reservoir trying to make stones 'skip' or just sitting there to chitchat..

i miss the rvcb days..

i miss some friends whom i lost along the way.. but i cherish the friends i've made along the journey too..

and that will definitely include you Chris, my dearest girl.. the one who stood by me from 1996 till today.. be it the diff classes we went to after sec2 streaming, the diff JCs and CCAs we joined, the diff interests and courses we took or even the diff countries we are in now.. im thankful cos u've always been there for me..

here's to our decade-long friendship! *bigHUG* love you to bits~

started raining heavily while descending.. walked ard 杨明公园 and to see the 花钟(Flower Clock).. and so we started posing with our umbrellas in every photo.. 1 guy (read: joe) was trying to be cool & not hold umbrella.. but in the end rained so heavy he had no choice but to grudgingly pull out his brolly too, esp that he needed to take photos..


funny why we only took this pic of the gate when we were leaving the place.. cos we entered from the other side ma.. so exited frm the entrance.. haha.. so cool hor our umbrellas.. =P


how pathetic we looked.. i was alone on the other side of the road cos we weren't 100% sure which side to wait for the bus.. signs were abit misleading.. so i waited opp in case we missed the bus.. the bus stop no seats one, juz a miserable small signboard.. waited like 30mins for the bus to bring us to 北投 then took mrt to 淡水..


reached 淡水! rain was reduced to a drizzle.. we all prayed hard that no rain so we can see a beautiful sunset at 渔人码头..

thanks for all the well-wishes and smses asking if im better ya.. ya im much better le! still eating porridge and drinking soup cos my throat's very inflamed and hurts quite abit.. but at least i feel much better already..


im glad that i have quite a nice working environment and really pleasant colleagues, as compared to many i've heard abt who hate their work.. my 'customers' are the most difficult to handle but i'll be be better at it with more experience!


im starting to feel like im working as a private investigator.. =P

after a long break.. another 5 photos.. hehs.. sorry been so busy and prob lack of sleep dat i fell so ill..

met up wif glads, jer, steff, joe & ken on fri night, went 6th ave Venezia for ice-cream.. was feeling a tad unwell during the day in the office and got worse when i was out with them.. anyways joe & steff bought me a cute mug for office!! so sweet of them.. thankiewss my dears~.. shall post a photo of it soon..

oh ya, went home & took decolgen then slept.. was shivering the whole night cos i had chills.. woke up at 7plus in the morning feeling utmost horrible can.. took another panadol and went back to sleep till late morning.. was groaning and making alot of noise in my rm cos i was in pain.. aching all over, head pain and body feeling so yucky.. by then, wasn't getting better so dragged myself down to see doc.. 39degrees fever.. urgh.. no wonder i felt like crap..

so slept the whole of my sat away, din manage to go for my jc class gathering.. sighs.. but lucky met up with my few closest classmates the night b4.. so dun feel so bad la.. anyways i felt so much better after taking 1st dose of my doc's medicine and after another nap.. doc gave me MC for Sat-Mon so by right im on MC tmr but im going to work la since im better, unless feel sick again then will go hm rest lor..

i got test tmr!

i was dying halfway up the hill lor.. the slope was so steep la! ken had to push me frm behind cos i couldn't move liao.. haha.. this pic happened to catch him when he missed his footing and slipped cos his climacool shoes got no grip on the wet pavement.. he 'performed' several of such stunts throughout the duration of the whole 杨明山 expedition.. hehe.. *oops i very evil*


at last we reached the summit! no one else was there to share our joy.. haha.. cos we climbed till it started raining.. group shot using the joe's tripod.. steady shot! but our hair not steady.. the wind so strong!

haha.. after the summit, all our photos had umbrellas in them.. cos it rained non-stop from then onwards.. u shld see how stylo we all look with umbrellas.. hahaha.. they all had blue brollies except for me..
and joe so act cool, refused to hold umbrella until this pic cos rain got too heavy liao & he can't afford to get his camera wet.. hehe..

Day 2 breakfast.. super budget!! juz opp our hotel.. but food rather bland, like for older folks.. but very cheap la! i drank warm soya bean milk and ate a 馒头 (i like! sweet ones)..but their mantou was like plain.. totally plain, no taste.. haha..


and the xiaolongbao we ordered there as well.. the 3 of them ate a 蛋葱饼 or something like that.. but i dun like 葱 so i din eat.. ewww.. hehe..


taking the mrt by 淡水 line to 'jian tan' so we can take the bus to 杨明山, first stop of Day2!
